I Won’t be long for this late sunday post, just to share a video I’ve seen after someone shared the link on twitter. This presentation shows how it is possible to create a digital whiteboard for a very cheap price by reusing a wiimote, the famous game controller. Two things came to my mind. First, whouah this is a nice application that I’d like to have (I’m pretty sure someone has packaged it, I need to find that). Then, my second thought was about the great example it was for Part-Reuse. Using parts which are used for large use application could help you get materials and parts for a very cheap price. But at the same time it could be a risk. If you build a business model relying on that, the day the (for the example again) wiimote stops being produced, your material cost will rise a lot.
Have a nice week !
